The beginnings of Three Feet Below
Three women with a common interest in small scale sustainable agriculture met coincidentally at the Richmond Farm School in 2012. Through their shared passion and love for creating alternative ways for the average household to obtain healthy and locally grown foods, they joined forces and Three Feet Below was born.
Working as a registered dietitian, Katie Robinson already had a genuine interest in promoting healthy eating and she was looking for a way to become more involved in the local food system.
Update: Katie is now the proud owner/operator of Rise Over Run Farm in Maple Ridge.
Ashala Daniel possesses a keen sense of creativity and love of working outdoors, coupled with a desire to pursue a more impactful career. She ventured into the world of small scale sustainable farming in 2012 and hasn't looked back since.
Update: Ashala and her family are the proud new owners of the organic farm Sapo Bravo in Lytton and will be attending the Trout Lake Farmers Market in Vancouver this year with delicious produce and fruit.
Old at heart, but young in age, Esther Amezcua felt a calling to pursue her interests in non-conventional farming practices and to further increase her knowledge surrounding self-sufficient agriculture, offering her friends and family some of her canning experiments.
Ashala, Katie and Esther would like to thank everyone for their support of Three Feet Below in the past three years!
